ITSimplify Offers Partnership, Streamlined Services, Credibility

As business becomes increasingly complex, ITSimplify aims to cut through the confusion with efficiency, integrated services and relatable technology. The company, a unit of HiTouch Business Services, may be best known for its catalog of computer equipment, printers and peripheral products and Managed Print Services (MPS) offerings. But with a new vice president of managed services leading the way, ITSimplify is honing its efforts to incorporate comprehensive installation services and support, workplace optimization and conference room technology, digital signage and more. 

“Ultimately, we’re building an organization that supports our customers in ways they previously haven’t had access to through an office supply company,” said Andy Katz, who took on this new role in Spring 2015. “We don’t want to be everything to everyone. But there are numerous elements we can provide.”

ITSimplify also works closely with Rentacrate and designWorks, other HiTouch units, to assist companies designing and implementing office moves and/or upgrades, often making the transition without a disruption in IT capabilities. As a leading provider of hardware, software and services, HiTouch has long-established relationships with OEM providers, serves on HP’s Managed Print Services Advisory Council, and is an accredited print services provider for Xerox.

Katz—whose more than 15-year diverse background in technology includes pre-sales engineering, working with a large account reseller (LAR), project services, management and media architecture—said in coming days, ITSimplify will be strengthening its partnerships from an engineering standpoint. The company also is working toward its own “organically built offering” with badged IT service employees nationwide, as well as call center/help desk support, project planning and fabrication.

“That’s where I’m spending most of my time, in bringing forward the right people, the right partners,” Katz said. “Trust and credibility is everything. We’re interested in strengthening all of our relationships, including with customers. When you build the right relationship, you’re like family. You’re more than just a provider. And that’s how you sustain long-term, healthy growth for everyone.”

ITSimplify already has a solid presence in a variety of verticals, including healthcare. That field in particular, Katz said, is challenged by complexity and stringent policies, an atmosphere in which 
streamlined, cost-effective and efficient services shine. ITSimplify projects—from procurement and installation through managed print services—have included work with Montefiore Medical Center inNew York, Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Englewood, N.J., and St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston. Regardless of the field, however, “Companies are still challenged to find partners they can rely on to deliver services effectively,” Katz said. “That’s something I know that we can do for them.”
