ITSimplify, MyOfficeProducts and Rentacrate Handle Print Fleet Upgrade: Installation, Migration, Optimization and Proper Disposal

An organization the magnitude of the National Education Association didn’t need to know the nuances of a printer and multi-function device upgrade. The Washington, D.C. based staff—already focused on serving 3 million members and affiliate organizations in every state—simply required a seamless installation, migration and optimization of new equipment, in addition to proper disposal of the old. Just one more thing: It had to be done in a single week during business hours, with no disruption in capabilities.

HiTouch Business Services, through its ITSimplify, MyOfficeProducts and Rentacrate divisions, was the perfect fit. The agreement involved nearly 50 new HP department-class color and monochrome laser printers and Xerox multi-function devices, expected to reduce NEA print operations costs by up to 50% over legacy machines. HiTouch personnel worked hand-in-hand with NEA systems engineers to ensure a smooth transition.

“The integration of the various HiTouch divisions created efficiencies, as well as allowed for proper execution,” said Marc Sutter, HiTouch VP, Managed Print Services. “For a client like the NEA, it was important that there was one single point of accountability. They knew that if anything went wrong with the installation, implementation or integration, there would only need to be one phone call, and it would be to us.”

The NEA already was a client of MyOfficeProducts, and account representative Michael Lafferty saw an opportunity for HiTouch to meet the additional needs. HiTouch increasingly works with clients through multiple divisions, offering unparalleled, comprehensive solutions.

But we were able to ensure the equipment came in, arrived at the facilities on time, and was correct right out of the box. Through our onsite assessment we were able to add workflow improvement to the project with deployed job routing plans. We were delighted to deliver a seamless experience.”
