HiTouch Business Services Yields Furniture Selection and Installation for Manhattan Bank Offices

Bank Leumi USA Outfits Recently Renovated Madison Avenue Space

As Israel-based financial services firm Bank Leumi USA approached its recent move into 24,000 sq. ft. of space over three floors on Madison Avenue, time was of the essence. The bank turned to HiTouch and its designWorks division Senior Project Manager and Northeast region lead designer Genevieve Cooper for help not only in furniture selection, delivery and installation, but also in fitting the project into a tight 12-week window.

designWorks was ready and ideally suited for the challenge. designWorks coordinated various parties and worked through final construction, ensuring the right furniture was at the right place at the right time.

“We worked closely with Leumi to ensure the best outcome, value engineering the original specifications on the bid and presenting a cost analysis,” said Cooper, “We then went on to procure all of the furniture, coordinate with all involved vendors, managed delivery and oversaw installation onsite. The team also attended weekly project meetings, performed extensive field verifications for columns, core drills and framing verification. And the results speak for themselves: Bank Leumi USA has a beautiful, functional, efficient new space.”

The new offices, at 350 Madison Ave. in New York, N.Y., are in RFR Realty's recently renovated 25-story tower, not far from Bryant Park and Grand Central Terminal. In keeping with the tony environment, designWorks Senior Project Manager Genevieve Cooper and her team incorporated Haworth Master’s Series private offices, Haworth Compose workstations, Haworth Reside and Intuity Benching and Haworth Very seating, plus Davis lounge furniture, Stylex guest seating, Bernhardt soft seating and HBF tables. Humanscale monitor arms were used for the bank trader work areas. In addition to the traders, departments involved included human resources and executive leadership.

All told, the new space includes conference rooms, training rooms, focus rooms, open-plan workstations, open-plan trading desks, offices, breakrooms and file/storage areas.

Dwayne Deal, HiTouch Business Services Division Vice President added “It’s a testament to the designWorks team that many of our suggestions along the way were accepted and helped to ensure a successful, and beautiful project.”

Deal added that Cooper did a phenomenal job in managing the multiple manufacturers, project schedules, and contractor completion time lines.

“There were many moving parts on this project with very distinct completion requirements.  Genevieve worked through the space-planning, design aspects, and trade schedules in order to coordinate the project to completion. We had a very tight window for completion and move-in, and the daunting task of managing this complex project required a distinct hands-on approach. She professionally and efficiently handled every aspect of the project and the end result was a beautiful and functional workspace environment for Bank Leumi.”
